Fun

A rainy, yucky day meant extra daddy time at home!  The boys played outside in the mud while the girls observed. I had the girls try painting today. It didn't last long since I don't have a lot of extra time for big messes. 

Haircut

Tate got a haircut this afternoon and told me he wanted to do my hair. No thanks, son!  He did good being dropped off at school this morning. The girls were tired and grumpy. 

Wave

Audrey waved a few times this evening. It was mostly to a YouTube video of a lady doing aerobics but she did wave to daddy too. It was a rough morning. We have a very strict flush and put the lid down bathroom policy in place since I found Audrey splashing dirty toilet water on the walls. I was trying to put a fence around Tate's toys when I realized I heard splashing sounds. I hadn't want to push Tate too much in the bathroom since we had potty training issues but after just a little resistance he followed the new rules all day. He seemed to really need to be the center of attention today. 

Special

I love it when ordinary days turn into extraordinary days. Tate wasn't so sure about going to school this morning but when I suggested that we eat pizza after he was done that was all it took to turn around the whole day. When he got to school he marched right up to a boy and told him he was eating pizza after school and then started playing. I expected it to be rough to leave him but he did great. We met Brett for pizza at the restaurant with the play place and he had a surprise. My dad was in town running errands too so Brett called him to meet us for lunch. It was fun eating with him and the girls were pretty entertaining. Tate played so well with the kids in the play place. He was having so much fun that he cried when we left. He played outside when we got home and helped me cook dinner. We finished off the day with family book time. 

Chipmunks

Tate and Audrey slept until 8 this morning and Ellie didn't wake up until 9. It was awesome. There isn't an ounce of me that wants to start school tomorrow.  It is hard to keep the girls on a good schedule when we are gone three mornings a week. We took Tate to see the chipmunk movie this afternoon. He had fun. I can tell that he really enjoys special time without the girls. They stayed with my mom and dad. 

Trouble

These girls are into everything!!  I was trying to go through a few things today to sell some stuff and found them playing in the toilet. They were so proud!!  Ellie has decided clapping is awesome and does it all day long. It is too funny.  Tate and I made an angel food cake from scratch and it was delicious. He kept wondering where the angel was at on it. He has been insisting lately and he and I are going to be getting married. 

2016

The year is off to a good start!  We had a fun day. Tate and I baked snowman cookies that I got on clearance. Tate thought it was pretty funny to sneak cookies all day.  The girls are so much fun right now but they sure get into trouble quickly if you take your eye off of them. Ellie pulled the kitchen trash can on top of her and Audrey was standing next to me while I was getting supper ready and she fell flat on her face. I am going to try my hardest to blog more this year since I didn't do the best last year!
