Better

By the end of today Tate seemed to be feeling much better. He ate, drank, and played today. He was still a little more tired than usual. His antibiotics have given him a little diarrhea. I am not sure what happened during nap time but his diaper leaked and I even had to wash his pillows!!  I am running a low fever and feel terrible. 

Poor Guy

Tate felt terrible for most of the day. This morning he just laid on the floor and watched tv until he fell asleep around 10. He napped for a couple of hours and got up and had some lunch. He played for a while but then his fever came back. He went to sleep on the couch around 5:30. He got some Motrin when he woke up and then started bouncing off the walls. He finally went to bed around ten. He hardly drank anything most of the day and his antibiotics gave him a little diarrhea. This is the sickest I think he has ever been. 

Pneumonia

I took Tate to see the doctor this morning and he said that Tate has pneumonia. He left lung sounds "crackly" but his right lung sounds pretty clear. He gave us an antibiotic. Tate spit out half of it when we tried to give it to him. I mixed some with Hershey's syrup and bribed him with a Kit Kat to take the rest. Tate fell asleep for about ten minutes in the way home which ruined his afternoon nap. He was a crabby mess most of the afternoon. He is so happy at the start of most breathing treatments these days since he thinks his mask makes him look like a duck. I hope he feels better soon!

30 Weeks

I am 30 weeks today!  My nesting has taken the form of hoarding. Tate's cough is worse. He didn't go to school but we ran to the chiropractor and then got groceries. He started running a fever after his nap. 

Cough

Tate had a rough night with his cough so we all are tired today. Brett was working with the cattle from 2:30-4:00. Hopefully Tate is on the mend soon so we can get some rest. I went back to the chiropractor today.  My pelvis keeps slipping out of place. 

Snow

The boys played outside in the snow we got this morning. It got Tate's cough all fired up again and he can't sleep. Poor little guy!!  He was pretending his shopping cart was his bat mobile today. 

Nursery

I wasn't going to decorate the nursery but then I got new curtains and one thing led to another. I have my grandma's cedar chest and inside is a box of beautiful doilies. My mom thinks that my great-grandma probably made most of them.  So I got some frames from my mom and rounded up our spray paint and went to work. My mom also gave me two little pictures of cats that she had in her room when she was little. Apparently my grandma's friend's dad made them for my grandma and she loved them.  I am happy with the way the room turned out. 

Kiss

Brett got a pudding kiss today!  I got some new glasses!  I also went to the chiropractor. I could actually lift up my legs to dress/undress without terrible pain. 

Van

Brett went and traded in our Traverse for a Town and Country. Boy, it is sweet!!  He went to three different dealerships and ended up getting the best price on the one I test drove. Tate was telling me all day that he didn't want a new car but when he got to jump around and play in it he ended up loving it. Tate enjoyed tuna noodles for lunch!  I struggled with pain in my tailbone all day. 

No surgery

I took Tate to see the urologist today. He does not need surgery!  All issues should resolve at puberty. Tate was pretty tired today so he cried at school and at the doctor. I am in so much pain because of my fall. It really hurts to go from sitting to standing and I about could not get out of my car. Hopefully I will be on the mend soon. Tonight Brett asked who wanted garlic bread and Tate raised his hand and was shouting ME, ME, ME. It was cute!

Fall

I fell down about half of our basement stairs this morning. My feet went out from under me and my butt caught my fall. My tailbone is incredibly sore. While I was on the phone with the nurse she said that I failed part of my three hour glucose test so I was a borderline gestational diabetic.  I don't have to check my blood sugar or anything but I have to watch my diet. Tate did pretty good listening to me today since it hurt to pick him up. 

Family

I am using some of my mom's old frames for a project in the nursery. Here are some oldies of my family that were in the frames. Brett and Tate played very hard today. I am having digestive issues and spent most of the day feeling terrible. Tonight Tate said we should name the babies Chuck and Chuck 2!

Fishing

Tate was fishing with my strainer today!  He enjoyed Valentine's Day!  We got him candy and a coloring book. He was mad that he didn't get a chocolate bunny. We visited grandma this morning. She got him a set of matchbox cars that had firetrucks and ambulances.  At 10:00 tonight he was still telling me how much he loved firetrucks instead of sleeping.  One of the babies was trying to escape today. 

Glucose

I had to get my three hour glucose test done today. None of the four times I had to get my blood drawn hurt very badly. It was a long morning of no eating or drinking. When you order lunch at 10:30 at Sonic it is very fresh!  

Valentines

Tate had his first Valentine's party at school today. He was so excited when I picked him up and ripped through all of his valentines on the way home. He was still fired up at bedtime and it took him a long time to go to sleep. He was pretending to be a turtle by crawling around with a pillow on his back. 

Treat

We made some cookies for our favorite daddy today!  Tate had a rough day. He had trouble with hitting all day. 

Weather

Tate had school this morning. On the way there Tate said we almost hit a reindeer and then the cars in town were missing paint on their left tires. He had a meltdown when they played outside. I think it was because he couldn't have a toy that a girl was playing with. I test drove a mini van today. I think it will definitely be handy to have with two babies!  This afternoon we played outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather.  He thinks it is funny to "tickle" things with a tumble weed. We were grilling supper and I opened the door to grab my tongs and Tate ran in and grabbed an oven mitt so he could help at the grill. 

Birthday

Tate really wanted some cake yesterday. I told him if he took a good nap he we could make one when he got up. Well, the first thing he wanted to do when he woke up was make a cake. He picked pick frosting and asked for a candle. So, we sang him happy birthday and he blew it out. He was SO happy!  I was up most of the night with wicked stomach flu. I am feeling better now. 

Monster Trucks

We took Tate to see monster trucks yesterday. He didn't nap so he was tired but he had a good time. I think it was a little overwhelming for him because of the people and the noise. He liked to wear his ear MUFFINS. 

Cookies

We decorated wafer cookies today. Tate enjoyed eating the cookies more than the decorating. 

Dentist

I finally made it to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned today. My original appointment was in July but I had to cancel it because I had to go to the doctor for my cycle day 1 scan!  I tried to reschedule it several times but couldn't make it because of my morning sickness. There were three ladies at the dental office who were pregnant so it was fun to talk babies!

Great

Today was so much fun!  Tate had preschool. I ran errands, attended a breastfeeding class and washed the car to occupy my morning. After school we stopped and had lunch at Wendy's. Tate asked to eat inside. He did so good!  Last time was a disaster but today he listened and sat and ate. He did so well that I gave him ice cream. (Mom wanted ice cream.)  He giggled and had a blast the whole time he ate it. He fell asleep on the way home then slept for a couple of hours in his bed. The boys played outside this afternoon. According to Tate they played and chased. After supper I could hear the boys playing hide and seek. So awesome. 

Better

Tate is feeling much better. He seemed really tired this morning. I found him on the couch after I got dressed. His daycare provider put together a hot wheels track just for him and he was so excited. I think it wound him up too much to nap and too much to go to bed.
