Bye 2013

It is hard to believe another year is already over.  Life just passes by much too quickly.  While some days were a challenge, I was still blessed with a great 365 days full of love, family, friendship and health.

We spent the last day of the year playing and hanging out at home.  Tate, the handyman, was fixing things around the house.  He also built some great towers and castles with blocks and had some super awesome dance moves!!

Photo Dump

Tate is fighting bedtime again so I keep forgetting to blog. We went to the library today to check out new books.  

And...Tate fed the babies in a book some of his pop tart. I love that silly guy!

Climber

We had a good Christmas. Tate needed a lot of supervision wherever we went so I took few pictures. Today he has been climbing everything!

He was pretty cute going to sleep. He wiggled and jabbered forever then he rolled all the way over and gave me a hug. 

Snow Much Fun

We had about 4 inches of snow. Tate is not really a fan. 

Awake

Tate refused to go to sleep tonight. He finally crashed after some Motrin and extra milk. 

Oh My!

I was using the vacuum when Tate handed me some toilet paper. It was still attached in the bathroom and strung clear across the house. Luckily, I had put on a fresh roll for him just an hour earlier. He thought it made a pretty good road. He was pretty grouchy all day. This evening, Brett and I were having a wrapping paper tube battle and I got stabbed in the chest then dropped to the floor. Tate thought it was so funny. He kept hitting me with the tube and I would slump to the floor then he would throw himself on the ground. 

Tree

We did a little Pinterest project a while back and made frosting covered ice cream cones that looked like Christmas trees.  Tate loved the whole thing!  He especially loved the frosting and pouring out the colored sugar.  We had so much fun today!!  He gave Brett a hug for the first time!  He also gave me several kisses, something he hasn't done in months!!

Cough

Cough.  Cough.  Cough. That is how I spent my day. Tate has been talking up a storm lately. He is asking for "help" a lot and says Humpty Dumpty now. He took a 3 hour nap and was full of hugs so I think he might be getting sick. 

Santa Pics

Here are the pictures from when Tate saw Santa.  We had a rough day on Sunday.  Brett and I took turns napping and watching Tate.  I am feeling much better but still have a nasty cough.  Brett is still pretty sick.  So far Tate is healthy.  I spoke to a nurse today and she said to give Tate lots of juice with vitamin C and some vitamins.  He refuses to drink juice and eat the vitamins - even the gummy ones so I guess he is just fighting off the germs all on his own.

Santa

We took Tate to see Santa at the library this morning.  Tate was too busy playing with the toys at the library to want to sit with Santa.  There were a bunch of kids the same age as Tate who saw Santa after us and they all screamed too!  There are no pictures because I am sick.  Running a fever and have a nasty cough.  I have been trying hard to keep Tate away from my germs but I bet he gets sick too!

These are from yesterday!  Tate got into some app on the ipad so they are not the best but I still love them!

Good

Tate did so well with therapy today. They noticed a lot of positive changes since their last visit.  He talked up a storm today and said a lot of new words including:  taxi, bulldozer, scooter, alligator, and cook.  He also clapped with me this morning and played peek a boo a lot tonight. Today was a great day!

He took my ornaments off the tree and replaced them with his toys. 

Fun Day

We had such a fun day.  My little laundry helper enjoyed rearranging my piles and playing with his belly button. We ran down to my mom and dad's to pick up a package and Tate thought grandpa's tree was pretty. He giggled and ran around it. 

Visitors

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit Tate!

Tate's appointment with his specialist is Jan. 20.  I am elated that we got in so quickly since the paperwork said to expect a 6-8 month wait.  I am eager to get some answers so we know the best way to help our son.

Tate will only eat apples if they are whole. He can't bite them very well but he sure enjoys trying.  He went to sleep a little better tonight. 

Late

A certain someone has had a hard time going to sleep.  Last night he finally crashed around 10.  I took advantage of Brett being home more because it is super cold outside and I made 30 or so pepperoni and sausage pockets.
