Snow Day

We had the best day yesterday! It snowed just enough that Brett came home after feeding cattle. We watched a movie while Tate took his morning nap. We went to town for lunch and got groceries. Tate just had the best time!

Bowl

This little boy loves his cereal bowl. He slept all through the night last night!

Bale Feeder

Brett's latest project has been building a new bale feeder. I think it turned out pretty darn good! My dad put the for sale sign on it. They worked too hard on it to sell it for any less. If you look carefully you can see that it SOLD! We are rich! Ha, I wish!

Tate has pretty much figured out how to crawl. He made it out of his room and into the office. It still isn't a natural motion for him but it is looking much better! I got to spend 3 joyous hours up with him in the middle of the night. He was practicing his crawling again. He was AWAKE then MAD then AWAKE and then finally decided to go back to sleep.

Babysitter

Tate got to spend last evening with the babysitter while Brett and I went to the Beaver Volunteer Fire Department appreciation dinner. It was fun to get out of the house!

I used to babysit the girl who now watches Tate. She was such a fun, cute little girl and has grown up into such a nice young lady!

Big Boy

All Tate wanted to do yesterday was practice his crawling. He still can't quite get it so it is more of a bear crawl and lurch forward kind of thing. He tries to stand up now when he is at his piano toy. He has so much fun helping me with the laundry! At some point yesterday I decided he didn't need his pants anymore. I just love to look at his chubby legs!! He slept so much better last night! I only heard him fuss once!

Duke Dog

Yesterday was a gorgeous January day! Tate finally crawled forward a tiny bit and sat himself up! It was so much fun to watch. He was up from 3-5 AM last night and most of the times I checked on him he was up on all fours trying to crawl in his crib. I guess he is just too excited about this crawling stuff to sleep. We had some friends and their baby over for dinner last night. It was fun but I feel old! We had to work around sleeping babies and the party was over by 9:30! The pictures aren't the best as Duke sure loves his baby and licks him on the face whenever possible so I can't set Tate down around him. Tate sure loves his dog a lot too!

Cow Butt

I just love this fluffy cow butt!

We had a couple of moms and their babies come visit us yesterday. It was a lot of fun!! Tate's afternoon nap was pushed back by a few hours and we sure paid for it all night. He woke up every single hour. He is very sensitive to his sleeping schedule. It took one night to get back on track after being gone all weekend but then was sleeping peacefully from 7 PM to 7 AM once again. I am hoping he does better tonight.

Toast

Tate has started to object to being fed baby food so we have been experimenting with solids. He had a bit of trouble with the toast.

Mischief Maker

I was out of the room for literally a minute and Tate got himself stuck under his changing table.

Grandma Susan surprised us with a visit the other day!

Weekend Adventures

Tate had so much fun with Grandma Joan and Grandpa Mike! He even decided to show off and smack his lips for the first time while we were there. Tate had many adventures, including facetime with his aunts and cousins, playing outside, eating breakfast with Great-Grandma Maxine, and getting kisses from the priest after church.

8 Months

Tate is 8 months old today. I still think he is growing up too fast. He is so much fun right now!

Your favorite toys are your singing book, cabbage patch doll, and your empty diaper box. You LOVE when I read to you and are starting to get your favorite books. You are still terrible at sleeping. The last couple of nights you have been up all night and would only sleep if you were held. You still are a great eater! You enjoy most of your baby food and eat it with no trouble; eating about 5 oz. at a time. You are getting better at feeding yourself and really enjoy trying new foods. You eat about 28 oz. of formula a day. You have one cute little tooth and I think another will be here soon. You think it is really fun when I brush your teeth. You are such a happy boy during the day. You just figured out how to smack your lips. You are really enjoying sticking out your tongue too. You wear 12 month clothes and just moved up to size 4 diapers. You still can't crawl but you have figured out a method of scooting and rolling to get you where you want to be. We love you with all of our hearts!

Old Friends

We are visiting Brett's parents for the weekend. We spent time last night with Brett's friends from high school, along with their spouses and children. It was sweet to see the little boys playing together. I can't wait until Tate is old enough to join in the fun. Here are a few old iPad pictures. Tate has changed so much!

Food Fun

We are not sure whether or not Tate knew he was trying to feed Brett but it sure was fun!!

Blessed

I have been feeling pretty down since my endometriosis pain has come back. I just try to remember that I am very blessed! I have a wonderful husband, I was able to have a healthy baby and I get to enjoy each day. You don't ever have to look very far to find someone who has it worse than you.

Tate can't pull himself up yet but he will hold onto his crib if you stand him up. He loves it! I AM BLESSED!

Boss

Perhaps it is true...

We had a rough night here last night. Tate was up for several hours. He has another tooth that is about to pop through. I went to the dentist yesterday and I found myself going on and on about the cutest little tooth I ever did see!! I am such a proud mommy!
