Day

I got groceries this morning while Tate was at daycare. They were without power at daycare so they went to the park, out to eat and then to the pool.  My aunt and uncle had to put down their cat Reuben today. He was quite a cat and waved to me everyday when I picked up my cousin for school. 

Cool

The weather was cooler this morning and we got a little rain. Tate enjoyed playing in the puddles. The girls both cried all day. Thankfully Ellie took a good nap this afternoon. 

Test

Audrey had a gastric emptying study done this morning. We stayed at Chris and Anne's since we had to be at the hospital at 7. Owen was super cute and I already miss him. Audrey could not eat 4 hours prior to the test so I set an alarm and fed her at 2:45. She stayed asleep then until I woke her at 6:15 and waited very patiently to eat. I was so nervous that she would wake up early and be a mess. She finished her bottle with the dye and got images taken every 30 minutes for the next two hours. She did great. Ellie did great waiting too and it sounds like Tate had fun staying with grandma and grandpa. 

Roller

Ellie rolled from her tummy to her back today!!  Audrey held her head up super high!!  Tate pooped in the potty!!  We had grandma and grandpa over for supper to celebrate Grandma's birthday. Aside from both girls crying ALL day, it was a good day!

Town

I took Brett to town today so he could drive his sprayer home from the repair shop. We had lunch with my friend. Then my friend hit up the local wine shop and I also got some groceries. Tate went to daycare and the girls came with me.

We visited Gramdma today and Tate insisted on taking our picture. He got some good ones of our legs!!

Pictures

The girls had their 3 month pictures this morning. They woke up early which messed up the entire day. They managed to take some cute ones even though they  both cried nearly the whole time. Tate went to daycare and then had swimming lessons. He wasn't too interested in doing much so we called it good for this year. The girls are really starting to notice each other. They like to give each other smiles. 

Swimming

Tate started swimming lessons today. My friend is working with him. He didn't want to do too much that she asked him to do. He went down the slide and then he climbed up it again and started crying. Poor little guy was so scared. Audrey cried the whole time we were there. Everyone fell asleep in the car so I drive around for a while. They also took good naps when we got home!

Visitors

My fellow foodie, Kirstin, and her husband Tony came to our house for a visit. They brought along their niece and nephew. There is just a few weeks difference in age between the boys. They had a good time playing and it was great to catch up. Audrey ate 5 ounces at once without screaming. 

Exciting

We had a fun and exciting day.  We hung out with Jessica and Lennon. We started at the little bird watching center. They have some lizards and snakes in cages to look at. Then we went to check out the pizza place with an arcade and play place. The boys had fun in the arcade even though they didn't get a single quarter. The play place was dark and scary to Tate. Then we went to Walmart. Audrey had a pretty tough day. Her gastric emptying test is scheduled for July 28. 

Apology

I had a surprise visit from priest this morning. He gave me a very sincere apology. We went swimming this afternoon with Tate's friend Rhett. The boys had a good time and the girls were hot. My college roommate had a baby girl this morning. Her first baby was 1 lb. 9 oz. and after a lot of time in the NICU he ended up just fine. She had to deliver this girl at 36 weeks due the previous vertical c-section. The baby needed help breathing and had to be transferred to a different hospital.  

3 months

The girls are three months old today. They are both wearing size 1 diapers (Ellie needs 2s at night) and in 0-3 month clothes. Ellie eats 5 oz. every 2.5-3 hours and sleeps from about 7:30-6:30. Audrey eats 4 oz. every 2-2.5 hours but her feedings take a long time. She gets up once or twice a night. I try to get both girls up at the same time each day. They are both taking catnaps. They both are smiling and starting to talk. They both seem to be on the verge of laughing. Audrey still does not have great head control and we stretch her neck for torticollis. Ellie is doing great. She hates tummy time just like her sister. Her head is very flat. They are just too precious. It is fun to watch these sweet girls grow.  Tate had his buddy Lennon come eat lunch and play. He was exhausted by evening. 

Crew

I have quite a crew here. Tate either pretended to be a baby or play with a doll all day. Audrey cried all day and Ellie was also fussy. Tate made a huge mess with his toys and refused to clean it up. Mean old mom won after all the toys got put in a trash bag. As I was laying with him this evening he told me he had a great day with me. 

Exorcism

Today at church the new priest offered to perform an exorcism on Audrey because she was screaming. She lost it during the final blessing so we didn't take her out. I didn't appreciate the joke and everyone turning around to see who he was talking about.  It is upsetting because we were simply trying to feed her. Tate also pooped his pants at the end of church.  He was wearing underwear right before the girls were born but then regressed back to diapers. Hopefully we get back to underwear quickly. I made such a special memory with my mom this evening. I was rocking Audrey and singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and my mom had Ellie. I started humming and my mom started singing the second verse.  Three generations of girls bonding!  

Girls

The girls had a rough evening! Tate went to work with Brett this afternoon. 

Reflux

We saw a gastroenterologist today for Audrey. She said there wasn't much else that we could do. I am so sad. I am sad for Audrey because she is still in pain. I am sad for Tate and Ellie because I have to spend my time with Audrey. We went shopping at Sam's and Target before we came home. The girls both cried most of the way home. Tate went to daycare and then to my mom and dad's house. He made mud when he got home and dumped it all over his head.
