Vacation

We went on a little overnight vacation over the weekend and visited the aquarium, Fritz's, Build a Bear, and Chuck E Cheese. Tate was pretty grouchy at the aquarium but it was packed. The girls were real troopers and didn't complain too much about being in their stroller and car seats a lot. Audrey had a very bad night at the hotel so everyone was really tired today the girls slept the whole drive home. 

Ponytail

Audrey got her first itty bitty ponytail today. 

Extra

Audrey went to the dentist today and he said that she might have an extra tooth in the top. She screamed bloody murder during her appointment. Tate came to town with us and wanted his picture taken with the flowers at Walmart. Ellie stayed with my mom and put herself to sleep on the floor.  Today is my mom's birthday so I cooked her dinner. Tate picked out a carrot cake at the store. 

Monday

Tate and Brett went to the water park yesterday. They had a pretty fun afternoon together. Ellie was finally fever free today. Both of the girls are pretty grouchy due to teething. 

Magical

It isn't often that things go really well and we all just have a great time because something happens and someone (usually more than one) starts crying. This morning we played outside and ended up having a blast!  Tate and I played cozy coupes (I pushed mine with a girl inside) and the extra girl pushed the tricycle.  Tate also was able to pedal his bike a little better today. Ellie's fever came back this afternoon and I am not feeling softest either. 

Winner

Today was a real winner! Ellie had a fever, Audrey had a really runny nose and Tate was tired and nasty. 

Garden

The weeds are taking over the garden so we dug up our potatoes, onions and carrots and picked our cabbage and green beans. Audrey has a runny nose and Ellie is getting her molars and both felt warm today so they weren't much help in the garden. Tate's workers did a great job though!  He woke up crying yesterday and said he had a bad dream. I asked him what it was about and he told me that he had to stay a baby for a really long time. Ha!  Ellie went to the dentist for the first time yesterday and her teeth looked good. 

Travel

We went to a family reunion for Brett's family over the weekend. Tate had so much fun going on an adventure!  We had a picnic lunch on the way there and then we even stayed in a hotel with a pool and free breakfast. We played mini golf but Tate was not really into it. Tate and Ellie slept okay despite Audrey waking up all night. Tate got his first wasp stink but after a little ice was good to go. This afternoon Tate tried to tell us that he was feeling pretty tired and he needed to go back to the hotel to rest. It was a great weekend!

Hours

Tate entertained himself for hours with his tractors and a dish of baking soda. It was getting too messy inside so I made him go outside. Audrey's teeth must hurt. She had a rough day with a poor nap and is having a hard time sleeping tonight. Tate finished swimming lessons today. 

CT

My CT showed that I have diverticulitis, an ovarian cyst and a uterine fibroid in addition to my hernia. Yuck!!  I meet with a surgeon Aug. 8 to figure out where to go from here. It rained this morning so Tate's last swimming lesson got postponed until tomorrow. Ellie has been putting up quite a fight to take naps and go to bed. 

Dog

Brett had a wake-up call this morning from Duke. Apparently I didn't have the door from the garage to the house shut all the way and when a big wind storm came through the door blew open. Duke ended up in Brett's room in the basement. Tate did better at swimming lessons today. I saw the doctor this afternoon because my hernia seems to be getting worse. I have a CT in the morning. 

Fireworks

My brother and his family came home for the weekend. We went to the park and got pizza then shot off fireworks Saturday night. The girls didn't have much of a nap all day. Audrey hated every single thing to do with the fireworks. She screamed and screamed so Brett took her home and put her to bed. Ellie, on the other hand, was having such a great time and cried when she had to go home too. Tate liked it but got bored in the middle.  The girls have been a mess. They are not sleeping well, especially Audrey and have been crabby and fighting a lot. Tate has been so sweet and has really been giving me a lot of kisses. 

Dirty

Tate played in the shed for two hours by himself when we got home from swimming lessons. He was pretending there were tornadoes and hurricanes and was throwing dirt all around. 

Swimming

Tate started swimming lessons this morning. He did such a great job. Last year he did not cooperate at all and this year he didn't even hesitate a bit. He went off of the low and high diving boards and the slide. I hope he keeps up the good work!  

Party

We went to the annual 4th of July party in the nearby small town tonight. Everyone did great!  Audrey wasn't so sure of everyone and the loud fireworks but I think everyone had fun. I managed to get a sunburn and it was in the evening and overcast!  Fair skin is the worst!

Laundry

The girls laid down on my laundry piles and watched the washer and dryer in action!  They really enjoy helping me with all the chores I do around the house. I did an exercise video today and it was very entertaining watching all three kids try out some of the moves.
