Tillie

We met Tillie today and she is so sweet. I got some good snuggles from her and the kids all loved her!

Go

We had a lot going on today. The girls and I went to story hour this morning. Audrey was really into her hungry dumpy activity and Ellie shook her head no for everything I tried to get her to do. This afternoon we went to Tate's school for a book fair and then played at the park. Oh and the best thing that happened today was that my niece was born. She was born at 11:55 this morning and remains nameless. She has some chubby cheeks and I can't wait to meet her. 

Party

I went to my college roommate's bachelorette party this weekend and Mike and Joan came to the house to help with the kids. We rode a limo to the KSU game and then tailgated with my friend's camper. It poured and poured. The game actually got cancelled at halftime due to the weather. We had to wait forever for our limo to return and then we hit up a bar and those crazy girls were taking shots with minnows in them. I was so happy to return to my babies!!

Hot

We enjoyed the hot temperatures one last time today as cooler weather is coming tomorrow!

Snake

Tate found a snake by the shed today so I had to go kill it. I would call it medium sized but still way too big for my irrational fear of snakes. I didn't kill it with the first blow from my shovel and it slithered into the shed so I had to bludgeon the thing to death. I was shaking when I got done. I don't know what it is about snakes but they terrify me. 

Spider

We had s giant spider build a web on our sliding door. The girls have enjoyed looking at it. Tonight it was wrapping up bugs as they were getting caught in the web. 

Fun

We visited a friend and her daughter today and went to lunch with them at a fun little place. Tate took the girls for their first ride on the power wheels. Audrey loved it and keeps asking for a ride. Ellie cried!  Audrey wanted to potty after supper so I put them both on the toilet and Ellie did it!!!  

Sweet

All the kids played together so sweetly this morning. Tate was dancing with the girls and playing ring around the rosy. Audrey was tugging at her clothes and said "off. Potty!"  She loves her book about going potty and I think I might need to hide it until she is ready to actually potty train. 

A day

Today was a day!  The girls were on a path of destruction. They could not stay out of trouble unless they were being entertained by me. Tate got an early Christmas present. He has been DYING to have a Power Wheels. He originally had his mind set on a big pickup one that was crazy expensive. I talked him into a cheaper model and got it for him early so he could enjoy it before it gets cold. They make some with a thing called monster traction so they can go better on rough terrain. This thing is a beast. Tate ran it until the battery died. He was so excited that he ended up waking up the girls from their naps and couldn't go to sleep tonight. 

Kiss

I have been on "single mom" duty for a while. Brett was gone to his cousin's bachelor party all weekend. He cut corn late today and then went to a fire meeting. The kids were good all weekend but Tate was very tired and crabby today. He hasn't been sleeping well again. I got groceries this morning and Ellie wouldn't stop hitting Audrey. She would make her cry and then kiss her. 

Lipstick

I started the grill and came back inside and about had a heart attack. Audrey comes running for me and crying with red all over her head. My first thought was that Ellie got a knife and sliced up Audrey. BUT, upon a little investigation I found out that it was LIPSTICK. Thankfully it was only all over the girls and not on my carpet!  

Tate had his first soccer game tonight. He did not do so great. He was trying to play with and talk to the other kids instead of watching the ball. He ran out of the game a lot to get a drink and he completely lost it at the very end and we walked to the car with him screaming. 

Catch up

We went to Buxtyn's 2nd birthday party at the park on Saturday and had fun with all the other kids. Then we went to "Touch-a-truck" and rode a monster truck and saw other vehicles. Tate had his first soccer practice on Sunday. He thinks it is awesome. Some of the games will be at his bedtime so it might get ugly but hopefully he has fun. He didn't want to go to the parade on Monday. I ended up taking Audrey to urgent care for an ear infection. She stil is crabby but it is nice to see some smiles again. 

Fishing

The girls went fishing for the first time today. They weren't so sure about any of it. 

Sick

Tate was sounding terrible by Monday afternoon so Brett took him to see the dr. He had that relentless cough again and the dr said he had a double ear infection. So he got an antibiotic and an inhaler and should continue allergy medicine. On Tuesday he was home for just a few minutes when he lost it and had to go lay in bed. He fell right asleep and took a three hour nap. He is feeling much better. Today we had to run to town to buy some shin guards. Tate has his first soccer practice on Sunday.
