Sunday

Tate was terrible in church.  So bad, in fact, we had 3 people come up to us after church telling us to hang in there.

The rest of the day was awesome!  I made fried chicken and dumplings for lunch.  Tate napped well while Brett and I did nothing but watch tv. We downloaded the Talking Tom app for Tate and it repeats any sound you make. Tate "talked" to the KIGGY (kitty) for over 30 minutes. We met Aunt Amy for supper and outside fun!

We enjoyed a beautiful fall day!

Dad

Tate spent the day with dad and he had a blast!  I got a big, sweet hug from Tate when I got home.

Outside

Tate woke up from his nap and immediately walked to the door.  He wants to go outside all day long.

Phone Pics

Not much going on today so here are some phone pics that have not yet made the blog.

I tried to give myself my first shot in the stomach but I couldn't do it so Brett had to jump in and save the day.  I would be lost without him!  The needle was tiny and painless.

Sad

Tate was pathetic yesterday.  He only napped for 30 minutes before he woke up hysterical.  He was too tired to do much the rest of the day.

He was much better today.  We went to story hour but I am not sure we will go back.  He was kind of young for the activities and distracted the other kids.

Sick

Poor Tate did not feel well this morning.  He cried and just wanted to be held.  He dozed off in my arms.  He got to feeling a little better after lunch so we played outside where my other baby needed some lap time.  Tate look a late afternoon nap which messed up his bedtime.  He was helping me sweep the floors before his bath.  He got a special, purple bath to help cheer on the KSU Wildcats!

Underwear

Tate has enjoyed putting my (clean and waiting to be folded) underwear on his head and around his neck.  It cracks me up!  He slept until 6:20 today and was grumpy all day.  He woke up from his nap all sneezy with a runny nose.  He was wanting us to put him to bed at 7. Bath time was nothing but tears.  Hopefully he feels better tomorrow.  As for me I have had a terrible,TERRIBLE headache all day which is one of the lovely side effects of the medicine I started last night.

Mud

Tate had a mishap and fell and got mud on his nose.  We had a play date this morning and Tate had loads of fun!

No Nap

Tate and I had a busy morning.  We went to the park where Tate was particularly interested in playing with the gravel.  He also really liked sitting on the picnic tables and dangling his legs off of them.  We also got some groceries.  Tate lost it when we were checking out so I pulled him out of the cart and was holding him while putting my things on the conveyor. The lady behind me must have felt sorry for me so she helped me unload my cart. Thank you complete stranger!  Tate fell asleep when we were 8 miles from home.  He would not take a real nap the rest of the day.  He was in overtired overdrive for a while and was running around like a maniac!  He was in bed by 7:20!  He surprised us and woke up at 6:50 this morning, which was a treat compared to the 5:30-6:00 that he normally wakes up.

Ribbit

Here is a sneak peek at Tate in his Halloween costume .  He keeps tryIng to do somersaults but never makes it past putting his head on the floor.  I ran to town for some lab work while Brett stayed home with Tate.  When I checked in there was a perpetual calendar and today's message was:  A journey of 1000 miles begins with the first step.  Let our journey begin!

Rainy Day

It rained this morning so we could not go outside like normal and Tate was not happy about it.  We did go outside later though and Tate had fun in the puddles.  He got a fat lip today when he fell and hit his mouth on the coffee table.

Sunday

I love Sundays!  We went to church, played at the park, chased our kittens, ate French toast, and snuggled.

It's Here

I have been dreading the cool weather and it has arrived.  I actually like fall weather but do not like messing with jackets or knowing that winter is approaching.

Here We Go

I had my appointment with the reproductive specialist today.  It was a 2 hour drive then we had to wait 1.5 hours to see the doctor.  When I got pregnant with Tate, I had surgery to remove an endometrioma and that was all it took.  The dr. said today that only 1 in 14 surgeries result in a pregnancy so I was pretty lucky.  I had an ultrasound today and everything looked clear.  I have significant endometriosis that prevents me from ovulating.  Surgery is not the best option at this point since the endometriosis has grown into my colon and puts me at higher risk of complications.  We have a plan of action in place and hopefully it works!  We had lunch with my brother and sister-in-law and got to see her baby bump!!  My mom took the day off to help out with Tate. He was very good. He ate, played, and napped well. He had a big kiss for me when we picked him up.

Catch Up

I am behind on the blog.  We haven't been super busy or anything, I just simply forget to do it.

Sunday we went to church where Tate did pretty well.  There is no ac and Tate told me how he felt by saying "HOT."

Monday I had a church meeting and Brett had a fire meeting so my mom came after Tate was asleep to babysit.  Our priest is battling cancer so it was nice to see him since he had been away. Please keep him in your prayers.

Tuesday we went back to the park.  A boy a little older than Tate showed up and Tate had to run over and tell him hi.  Tate was so excited that kept randomly spinning in circles, saying "weeeeeee."

Today was pretty typical.  Tate snagged another green tomato from the garden.

At some point since my last post Brett and I were in the living room when we heard nothing out of Tate, who was in the kitchen.  A silent toddler is never good.  Tate had somehow found a spoon and climbed up a big chair and was digging in a pot of dirt.
