Audrey
Audrey has been trying to walk a little more. Instead to just trying to take a few steps between furniture she has started to just take off on a walk. Today was nice! I was snuggling Audrey at bedtime while watching everyone else play. I don't know what Brett and I will do when all of our kids grow up!

Calf
We went to see a calf with Brett. He had E. coli at birth so he is blind. There was a momma in labor and they ended up losing the baby and momma.

Doctor
I finally had to admit defeat and go to the doctor for a sinus infection. My ears and face really hurt, I have a cough and my eyelids are itchy and swollen. Hopefully I feel better soon. My kiddos stayed with my mom. Tate had a major meltdown at home and I think he was super upset that I got a lot of packages in the mail today but none were new toys for him.

Rough
Brett has started to get up in the middle of the night to check for problems with calving. We are on day 2 and it is already rough. The girls were both up super early and everyone has colds. Audrey had trouble sleeping already tonight.

First steps
Audrey took her first steps today! She let go of the tv stand and took about three steps over to me!

The girls are still learning to love the outdoors. Audrey actually did great and Ellie cried whenever I put her down.

Rough
Things have been rough with Tate. I don't know what is going on but we have been having some long days at home. He just can't seem to handle when something isn't just how he wants it. He gets mad and yells and then is in a bad mood until he decides to snap out of it. The girls both took a few steps when I stood them up to walk. Tate and I made watercolors today. It tested my patience.

Vroom
The girls tried out their riding toys today and loved them. Ellie has part of her fourth tooth through. She has really wanted to be held a lot.

10 Months
The girls were 10 months old yesterday. They are both wearing size 3 diapers and are starting to outgrow some 12 month clothes. Ellie still loves stuffed animals. She also likes to get into the lazy Susan and look out the window at Duke. Audrey likes to yell into containers and also enjoys getting into everything. They have mastered drawers and love to empty all of them. Ellie hasn't shown much interest lately in waving or mimicking other actions. She still isn't babbling the bababa etc. sounds but kinds of just speaks in "tongues" the way Tate used to. She likes to play peek-a-boo and always tries to put clothes on. Audrey is doing really well and likes to show off by waving, clapping, doing "so big", and patting her head. She will mimick several sounds and still really likes to yell all the time. Ellie has three teeth and is cutting a fourth. Audrey still has none. Audrey has been eating about 6 oz. of formula every 4 hours and Ellie eats about 8. They still both really love to eat table food. They have started to really make each other giggle and it is precious! Ellie has been trying to take a few steps on her own but hasn't been successful yet. Audrey is a cruising machine but is still very wobbly.

BUSY
We had the fire department raffle yesterday. Mike and Joan came to watch the kids. Tate was terrible. He finally fell asleep in his room for a nap but was a giant mess when he got up. He has not been kind to those giving him valentines. He was very vocal that he did NOT like them. I am not feeling great and am dealing with sinus junk. Today a guy came out to work on our internet.

Friend
Tate's teacher caught me after school today. Apparently they had to pick a parter and his favorite friend didn't pick him and he got very upset. He refused to work with his partner and kept trying to go work with his friend. I don't think I am ready for him to be part of the world of hurt feelings and mean kids. Ellie fell and hit a tooth and busted open her lip. I caught Audrey making faces in her car seat mirror. Tate tried salmon and tuna noodle casserole for supper tonight!

Helper
Tate is a really good helper if he is in the mood to help. Today he helped put away his laundry, make his bed, and do dishes. He created some valentines this afternoon too.

Update
The girls are doing pretty well. Audrey worked with her PT this morning and her head tilt is nearly gone. Tate has been doing great with drop off at school. He has befriended a kid named Luke and he talks about him all the time. Apparently the kids played hide and seek at recess. He is so smart and I love to hear all the stuff that comes out of his mouth.

Teething
Today was hard. I needed two more of me to keep everyone happy. The girls are both teething. Ellie is cutting her first top tooth but has two more that are about to come in too. Audrey is still working on her first tooth and it isn't going well. Ellie really wanted to kiss Audrey today.

Valentines
I got a haircut this morning so my mom watched the girls. Tate and I went and picked out valentines after school. He got Monster Jam ones. He cried for about 30 minutes later in the afternoon because he couldn't have all the stickers that came with them. The little cards mentioned the sticker so they must be included! Poor guy!

Tired
Tate was too tired today. We went to DQ for lunch and he threw his cup away but then decided he wanted it and LOST it. He was literally crawling on the floor as we were leaving because he wanted to be carried. All three kids cried all the way home. Brett was cleaning manure out of the feedlot and Tate decided to help. Apparently he got to stand in between the pens while they were open so Brett could get through with the tractor and the cows wouldn't get mixed up. By supper Tate was a mess and cried and cried and couldn't even talk anymore so he skipped his bath and went straight to bed.
