Halloween
Happy Halloween. We stopped by 2 neighbors and another left us candy in the door. One neighbor even gave me a fire dog costume!

Pumpkins
We carved pumpkins tonight. Tate was not into it at all. He wasn't into having his picture taken either. He did have a great time stacking grandpa's oil filters and driving around an air tank.

Story
Tate "read" me a story out of one of my old college textbooks. It went as follows:
Once upon a time there was a man looking for food. (Page turn)
He was looking for a house. (Page turn)
The End
Beautiful story. It resembles the book Stone Soup that we have been reading.
I had an appointment today. I met my new doctor and like him a lot. The babies are big enough now that each heartbeat could be found with the doppler. We go back in a month.
We got new windows today!! They have a few left to install but they look beautiful! It will be so nice to be done with those drafty old things we had before.

Story Hour
We went trick or treating to the businesses on Main St. today with the story hour kids. We made 11 stops so it was a long morning and the kids got some great treats. Tate wasn't sure what to think at first but then he did a good job. The group picture was an epic fail.

Play doh
We made jack-o-lanterns and monsters out of play doh today. Tate loved it. He figured out how to open the sliding door today so it must remain locked now. He also said "I am frstrated" when I told him he had to blow his nose and put on a jacket before he could go outside.
My brother's dog, Dexter, had to be put down today. We will miss him, especially his little nub.
I had the worst day yet. Hopefully good days will be here soon.

Silage
Tate got to climb the silage pile for the first time today. He had fun and made it to the top by himself. He required a lot of supervision since the pile was pretty big and had very steep sides. I always loved to play on the pile as a kid. Tate was pretty excited to see cows in the feedlot. He told them hi and waved to them then made me take a picture of them. He grabbed fists full of silage so he could feed them.
Grandma and Grandpa took the boys out to lunch and to the park again.

Shaving cream
Tate played in shaving cream today. He must have enjoyed it because he asked to do it again later. The second time, he covered his entire arms with it and called them his mummy hands. Poor guy has the croup. He has a high voice to begin with but I think it went up a few octaves today. I had a terrible night but better day. I ended up having a nose bleed. What can I say? My body loves pregnancy. ;)

Alive
Well, the only thing I accomplished today was staying alive and that was even a struggle. Luckily, Tate had daycare this morning and Brett was able to come home when Tate refused to nap so I could rest. The boys washed the pickup and the dump truck. Tate had a low fever this evening and has woke up twice since we put him to bed.

Fire man
We picked up a fireman costume from a friend today and Tate was pretty excited! He had to go to time out at story hour because he just would not sit and listen to the story.

Husband
I just have to say that I am one lucky lady. Brett has been so helpful while I have been so sick. He has been on night duty with Tate (who decided to stop sleeping through the night again) since I found out I was pregnant. He plays with Tate nonstop while he is home to give me a break. He picks up and cleans the house. I would not be able to do it without him.

Band aid
Tate gave me a big band aid today. It is also known as a panty liner. Ha!
The babies really love round steak and gravy. I used up my last package in the freezer. I am sad because I know store bought meat won't be the same. I had some major, painful bloating today which made me cry. Tate looked at me and said "It's okay mom" which made me cry more. Two babies equals even more hormones to make me cry.

Pumpkins
I got a little pumpkin last year at the store and threw it out in the weeds after fall was over. It made a volunteer plant that produced quite a few little pumpkins. We picked them this evening. Tate thought they were perfect to haul around in the dump truck.

Pretend
Tate came out of my closet and said he had dancing shoes! I am not sure where he picked that up since I rarely wear heels.
Then he wanted to be super man and save the day. The house got warm so he got to run around without pants.

Date
The weather was beautiful so we went to town and then out to dinner. Tate did great. I was not feeling well so I didn't take any pictures.

Twins
We let word out today that we are having twins!! I am very excited but very nervous about bed rest and early delivery. I had my first appointment at the regular OB office. It is always hard to leave the familiar faces at the specialist. I am going to a different doctor than the one who delivered Tate. My cousin started as an OB and I am seeing one of her coworkers. Hopefully she can assist at my c section. They couldn't find both heartbeats today with the Doppler so I had to get a sonogram. Both babies looked great. They were both moving all around.

Fishing
We took Tate fishing with my dad this evening. When we pulled a fish out of the water Tate exclaimed, "It's a whale!" He had a good time but was not quiet and didn't sit still for long. We just caught the one fish and a turtle.

Cinnamon
I am losing it. I went to make some homemade Chipotle and had an accident. I put cinnamon on my chicken instead of cumin. I rinsed it off in the sink and dinner turned out fine. Tate really likes plain white rice. Cilantro makes the world a much better place!!
