Therapy

Tate started therapy today. He got to play with some new toys his teachers brought. He did great!  He brought things to show me, mimicked actions and sounds, hugged the little animals, and even waved goodbye.

Good

Tate had a very good evening. We moved most of the furniture out of the living room because we are getting a new fireplace installed tomorrow. He loved climbing on all the furniture piled in the office and he loved running around the empty living room. He enjoyed marching and doing ring around the rosey. He also loved stepping onto the old mantle and clapping. He was wound up at bedtime and needed to be rocked to sleep. He reached up and grabbed my nose and said nose then drifted off to sleep. Definitely an evening to remember!

Love

I love this guy!  He must have enjoyed seeing himself on my phone as I snapped the pictures.

Brrr

Tate just had to go outside today. He was not a fan of all the clothes.

Sad

Tate has had 2 very bad days.  I feel like I am losing my boy. I can't get him to play with me or look at me.  Hopefully next week we can start our journey to some answers.

Birthday

I celebrated my birthday the whole weekend. On Friday I had dinner with my friend.  On Saturday I watched the KSU game at my cousin's and then went out to dinner with friends. My mom and dad kept Tate for the evening.  Tonight my mom made me delicious chimichangas and cake. Thanks mom!!

28

Well, I am officially 28. Tate wanted to celebrate my birthday at 1:26 this morning.  He went right back to sleep but I was still wide awake hours later.  I got a new frying pan and many beautiful cards. The weather was perfect. Brett and I took Tate to see the cows then got some supper to go. Tate was pretty cute tonight. He was brushing his cow's hair and teeth.

It is hard to believe I met Brett when I was just 19 years old. My 20th birthday is one of the first times we did something together other than eating lunch in the union with our mutual friend. Time flies when you are having fun.

Cow

Tate loves his cow!!  He did some pretend play, made eye contact, and snuggled today!  He had a hard time going to sleep so I rocked him and he kept jabbering and looking at me and giggling.  Brought tears to my eyes.  Not a bad way to spend my last day as a 27 year old.

Diaper Pile

Today is officially getting extra help as of today. They will come every 2 weeks until the beginning of the year and they will switch to once a week. He has a lot of red flags for autism so please keep him in  your prayers. They are going to work with him for a little while and then decide if he needs further referral.

Dirty

I went to my old roommate's baby shower today. I also hung out with my other old roommate's baby. What a fun day!  Tate hung out with my mom while Brett cut milo.  Here are some pictures of Tate playing in the dirt the other day.

Soot

I started lunch today and when I checked on Tate I found him IN THE FIREPLACE!  Luckily I found him before he got out and kept the mess contained. He had a lot of fun in his midday bath. We got family pictures done this afternoon and it was an epic fail. Tate pretty much cried the entire time. He did enjoy playing at the McDonald's play place and the park.  He also sat and ate well at Pizza Hut.

Laundry Fun!

Tate and I went to town and got my tire fixed this morning. It only took about 20 minutes but Tate was not happy waiting inside the coop. He took a very good nap!  I gave him a haircut and he came unglued!

He had so much fun helping me fold laundry last night!

Farm Boy

We had a busy day. We played with Tate's little friend this morning and Tate gave her 2 hugs. It was cute!  He also threw a terrible tantrum when I would not let him climb on plastic tubs. Then we went and said hello to grandma at work. Tate was pretty shy at first but then he warmed up to the room full of junior high students. He fell asleep in the car and ruined his nap. We enjoyed the beautiful weather this afternoon and watched the guys work cattle. Tate was more interested in the tractors and mud puddles in the yard. Then he got to climb on a sand pile. He thought scooting down it was pretty fun!  WEE!  Finally, we fed cows.
