So Proud

Tate was stacking Play-Doh and he was so proud of himself!!  He is aware of the concept of counting and whenever I count something, "tree" comes out of his mouth.  He is also doing a very good job of pointing to objects in books on command.  I showed him a tiny squirrel in a book last night and he could find it again tonight.

Help

Tate has had some things going on that caused me to schedule an evaluation for him. He was low in speech and social so he will be getting extra help. We finalize everything next week. I have been feeling pretty low and have been super worried.  This evening it was as if God knew we needed a good sign because Tate started clapping with us like he has never clapped before (skill he rarely ever does) and then he walked over to me and gave me a big hug. Thank you God!  He is working on his top two incisors and has been crabby. He refuses to eat in his high chair.

Annie Update

Here is a picture of Annie's eye. I think it healed nicely.

I got my hair chopped off today. I was trying to grow it out to donate but I needed a change with everything going on. Tate stayed with my mom. He was good and took a good nap. Before we left we fed the cows with my dad. We even sang Heigh-ho like we used to when I was a kid. Tate love it and had a huge smile on his face. He is such a farm boy!

Happy Halloween

Today was a long day.  We had an appointment so back on the road we went.  We took Tate with us this time.  He did good but didn't nap well on the way back.  It is never fun when the nurse can't get things to work so she has to call in a second one.  No pain no gain!!  Tate did not want much to do with trick or treating.  We stopped at 4 houses and each time he just wanted to stay outside and play.  Country trick or treating is great.  Our neighbors spoil Tate with gobs of candy and toys and they tried to give us beer and pop.  It feels a little strange to take my son to the same places I used to trick or treat as a kid.  His friend stopped by before bed.  He was the cutest little cow!!

Fall Fun

Fall is my favorite time of year!!  We always grew pumpkins in our garden and would carve some every year.  We even listened to a cassette of scary sounds while we were carving.  Those were the days!

I think my pumpkin turned out well.  Tate was less than thrilled.  He thought playing with cars was more exciting than pumpkin carving.  When I walk by the pumpkin I can just hear Bob Ross saying, "It's a happy little pumpkin."
