Whiskers

Tate noticed Brett's whiskers for the first time today. We had a good day despite a rough night. Tate's teacher came and played a game with us that Tate actually participated in. This afternoon he asked "Sit with me and read books?" and let me read to him for an hour. Reading to him while he is snuggled up to me is my favorite way to pass the time. My heart is so full of joy tonight. I am truly blessed!

Train

It rained just enough to chase the guys out of the field so my parents, Brett, and Tate all went out to dinner at Pizza Hut. Then we stopped for groceries where Tate got to ride the train. 

Mud

Tate is a mud magnet. He learned how to climb the garden fence today.  My oatmeal container grain elevator was a hit.  

Play-Doh

Tate has been doing so great!  He did very well playing with his play-doh yesterday. 

Brain

Tate's brain is always working. 

Today he said:

Do you want to play cars with me mom?

There's a creature (pointing to basement window while pretending to sleep)

5-4-3-2-1. (Yep, he totally counted backwards from 5 when I asked him how many fingers he had - can't count to 5 forwards)

Brett and I went on a date to our county fair. We had fried food then enjoyed a concert. Brett's friend from college was the opening act. We got to say hi and enjoy the show. I hope Jared Daniels makes it big someday!!  Tate was good for my mom and dad. 

Happy

Tate was finally a happy boy today. He decided at noon he needed a nap (he told me he wanted to take a nap) and slept for 3 hours. It was good because I had a long morning of garden work and freezing green beans and carrots so I needed a rest. I am still not feeling great.
