Lick it

Tate and I made his birthday cake today. I tried to put the beaters in the dishwasher when I heard "lick it!"  He loves his Cars birthday decorations.

Better

Aside from a super nasty diaper, Tate seems to be doing much better. He had such a great day. His eye contact was AMAZING and he wanted to play WITH me all day. He got re-evaluated by the county and aside from observing him with peers which they will do soon, they think Tate scored very well. He did awesome for them. They sat down and Tate said "instructions" while he look at the instructions to his train track. Then he fed them play food. Finally, he took all of the clothes off of his doll, Wilson and made him go potty. He also gave him a bottle. Tate was not very interested in the puzzles and games that the teacher brought though.

Gift

Tate got a birthday gift in the mail today from his aunt, uncle and cousins. He filled it with pillows then thought it was funny to hide under them.  He is getting a molar and having a very hard time sleeping.

Busy

I took ABA training all week. It was so interesting and I took away a lot of useful information. We got to work with autistic children. It was amazing to see the changes in them by the end of the week. Thanks to everyone who watched Tate!  Yesterday we had Tate's 2 year pictures taken and then went to a birthday party with a bounce house. Tate had a blast. Today he was puny. He wanted to do nothing but sit on my lap and watch tv. He fell asleep by 11:30. By evening he had a temperature of 102. Poor boy!

Owen's Baptism

Owen got baptized today so I am officially a Godmother!  He did good, even when the priest poured holy water in his eyes. Tate did pretty well too!

Tate had his buddy come over for dinner. We had a great evening with him and his parents and baby sister!

Fun

Tate was so much fun today. He is just starting to understand the concept of hide and seek. His ONLY hiding place is behind the chair in his room. He also likes to play in blanket forts and asks me to "build fork" frequently. We had a great time outside. The wind finally stopped blowing. The boys had a snack together. Duke made a nest in the garden. If only we had weather like this everyday!  Tate went to bed and stayed in bed without a fuss tonight. He is still waking up two times a night but just needs a little pat from mommy.
