Fireplace
We are tired of our house being a construction site! Tate checked cattle for about an hour this afternoon and did really well. We went out to dinner by our house and Tate wanted the giant truck light hanging over the pool table. He screamed the entire time we were there despite all attempts to calm him down.

Special Day
Today ranks as one of my favorite days of my life so far. Tate had a good day, I got to meet my nephew, and see my brother and his wife in their new role as parents. I love their new little family of 3 very much!! Tate didn't quite know what to think of Owen. He seemed nervous, excited, and jealous! He had to make sure he got some attention from everyone too.

Nephew
Brett and I have a new nephew!!! Baby Owen made his entrance into the world at 6:04 pm, weighing 9 lbs. 2 oz and measuring 20.25 inches. We love him and hope to meet him very soon!! Congrats to my brother and sis-in-law!
We met my friend's baby today! She is tiny and sweet!! Tate got to play with her big brother!

Calves
Tate loves the calves. He cried when we made him leave the first time he got to see one. Tonight he got to pet one!! He said "nice cow" and "look papa, cow." He also called himself a cowboy once he got his boots on. We stopped by my parents' house after checking cattle to give my dad the report. Apparently Tate wanted to play with Papa because when I came near to take him he said no and pushed me away. Brett got his ankle looked at today. The bone has a chip. It looks pretty ugly!

Ankle
Brett hurt his ankle this morning. Hopefully he is on the mend soon. We lost a calf last night and this one was on his way to be adopted so it got a pickup ride. The mama cow took it right away!! Tate said "me hungry" when he sat down to eat and "love you daddy, love you mommy" when I put him in his bed.

Oobleck
It is fun for the entire family. Tate loves it and requested to play with it all day. He had another good day!! He is sitting better and is making much better eye contact. He stayed with my parents while Brett and I ran to a wedding reception. He did great and even asked "where papa go?" when my dad left to check cows. Our cows are having babies in this awful freezing weather so the boys are checking them frequently. Brett has the 3AM shift.
