Catch Up

I am behind on the blog.  We haven't been super busy or anything, I just simply forget to do it.

Sunday we went to church where Tate did pretty well.  There is no ac and Tate told me how he felt by saying "HOT."

Monday I had a church meeting and Brett had a fire meeting so my mom came after Tate was asleep to babysit.  Our priest is battling cancer so it was nice to see him since he had been away. Please keep him in your prayers.

Tuesday we went back to the park.  A boy a little older than Tate showed up and Tate had to run over and tell him hi.  Tate was so excited that kept randomly spinning in circles, saying "weeeeeee."

Today was pretty typical.  Tate snagged another green tomato from the garden.

At some point since my last post Brett and I were in the living room when we heard nothing out of Tate, who was in the kitchen.  A silent toddler is never good.  Tate had somehow found a spoon and climbed up a big chair and was digging in a pot of dirt.

Hose

Tate had his 3rd haircut today.  He sat still well and smiled so big when we were finished.

I made some spaghetti sauce with tomatoes from my garden and it was delicious!

I spent a big part of the afternoon getting a fraudulent charge taken off of my credit card account.  2 long phone calls and 1 credit check later, I hope I got everything sorted out.

It was HOT today so Tate had fun with the hose.

Easy Day

Who said motherhood is hard?

Silly guy crawled into the cage but only stayed in there long enough to snap a picture.  It was really just a day full of getting dirty, chasing cats, and playing with tractors.  I did manage to bake some zucchini bread and Tate thinks it is delicious.  My grandma made a lot of zucchini bread so it is a comfort food to me.

Adventure

Tate and I had an adventure today.  We went to the park and the zoo.  We were the only people at the park and Tate had a blast climbing on the equipment and playing in the gravel.  There weren't too many animals out at the zoo.  Tate fell asleep in the car and let me put him in bed when we got home and slept for another hour and a half.  That was a first!

Me Time

Just a little jog before bed.

I used to run track in high school.  I like running but not going fast so I enjoyed practices but hated meets.  I used to run the 1600m and 800m.  I also did high jump, long jump, and triple jump.  I was not very good at any of them but it got me out of extra running and gave me more time to socialize.  I ran the hurdles once at our home meet and even beat someone!  The track at my high school is so old it is still in yards and made of cinder.

My husband also ran track.  Brett went to state track several times and placed 7th and 2nd in the 4x800m relay.

My boy

Just some snuggles and thumb time before bed.  Tate woke up at 5 this morning and has been grumpy all day.

Labor Day

We had an uneventful day. I got a case of peaches peeled and sliced and ended up  with 12 bags for the freezer and a big bowl to eat now.  Tate decorated the dog.  Tate threw a fit in the stroller in the morning so we opted not to go to the parade.
