Warm

It was 60 degrees outside this afternoon!!!  I built Tate a snowman but he was just interested in its stick arms. He really enjoyed poking the snow all over the yard with the sticks.  It is so nice to feel the sun's warmth again!

Date

Mr. Tate fell asleep on the way home from story hour this morning and since he has really been fighting his naps I figured this was all the daytime sleeping he was going to do for the day so I needed him to get as much as possible. Brett jumped in the car and off we went for town. We had McDonald's for lunch where Tate ate well and grooved to the music that was playing. We also got some groceries and headed home. Since Tate had that early nap we were able to bundle up and feed cows. We also played in the snow. Tate had a hard time walking in it and would fall and just freeze until someone would put him on his feet again. The best part of the day:  Tate did awesome at story hour. He was interested in the kids, the story and the craft. He noticed the other kids sitting and sat and listened to the story too!  Tate's teacher came and observed us at story hour today and was very happy with how things went!  Yay!!

Soap

Tate loves to play in the sink. Today we added monster trucks, soap and bubbles to the fun. He will ask for more soap and scrub his monster trucks with a toothbrush. He played in the water so well he let me give him a haircut without a single tear or fight!!  He had a good day, aside from not taking a nap. He asked me "daddy where go?" and I told him daddy went to work and them he told me "daddy tractor."  Oh and he was being crazy smart today by trying to count his fingers and pointing out a crescent shape. Crescent!!!

Buns

Tate stole the hamburger buns off the counter and took a bite out of all of them. He refused to nap yesterday and went to bed around 8. He got up at 7:30 and took a good nap. He had such an awesome day!  Lately he has told me "wake up mommy, read books" and "sit chair mommy". We went to Pizza Hut with our friends and their son tonight. Tate even gave him a high five!!

Markers

An empty box plus markers equals loads of fun for Tate!!  He had a pretty good day today. He even marched with us and gave us high fives!  

I made 19 pizza pockets and 13 ham and cheese pockets today. It feels so good to have a freezer stocked with quick, yummy food. 

Snow

It snowed all day today and now the wind came up so it is drifting like crazy. Tate was restless all day. He could not seem to settle down and play very well. 

Experiment

Tate loves to drop colored vinegar into a dish full of baking soda. The best part is that it is pretty mess free and easy to clean up. 

We went to the library this afternoon and got some new books. Tate brought me some stuffed animals while I was looking through the books. We also stopped and got some bananas, when Tate could not wait to eat so he had one for a snack on the drive home. Nana!  Nana!
