Big Trouble

Tate wore his new "Big Trouble in a Little Shirt" outfit today and I found myself singing it to the tune of the "Fat Guy in a Little Coat" scene from Tommy Boy.  :)

We had a play date today.  All of Tate's friends made it!!  All of them are 1 now.  It has been fun watching them grow. 

We went to the local grill/pub again for supper.  Tate flirted with our waitress again. 

Tate is getting his 2nd top molar.  He is having a rough time and it took us an hour to get him to sleep tonight.

Clean

Tate got to go to grandma's for a few hours today so I could clean the bathrooms.  IT WAS SO AWESOME!!  I forgot how easy it is to clean without my little helper.  He is cutting his first molar and is not eating well or sleeping well.  He was helping me dust yesterday.

Monday

I think the boys had a good Father's Day!  I fed Brett bacon and steak so I think he was happy. 

We went to Kindermusik today.  Tate did pretty well.  He even clapped when he was supposed to!  Then we got our groceries and came home!  Tate was a good boy even though my cart was super full and he was trying to throw everything out of it.  We had 1.4 inches of rain last night.  Tate is officially off the bottle!

Best Buds

Tate took a tumble off the back porch onto the dog dish yesterday.  He has tiny scrapes all over his forehead.

Tate's best buddy and his momma came to play yesterday too!  The boys seemed to have a lot of fun!

Today we went to church and Tate screamed the whole time. It was a long 45 minutes! We went to a first birthday party this afternoon. Tate just adores his little friend. She is a doll.

Happy Father's Day to my dad and father-in-law! I love you both! Happy 2nd Father's Day to Brett! I think the sight of my two boys laughing and playing is wonderful!

Tub Time

He also told me "ALL DONE" after eating and in the bathtub.  He has been saying "HOT" all the time so I have been trying to teach him the difference between hot and cold.  Today we got a package of hamburger out of the freezer and without being prompted he said "COLD."  He also told Brett "HI DAD" on the phone!!  Lastly, he made it the whole day without a bottle!  (These pictures were from yesterday.  He took a tumble today and scraped up his face...details later.)

Pool Boy

We have been keeping Tate's pool inside when not in use so it stays clean.  He decided he wanted to sit in it.  Excuse the mess, it was laundry day!

Not much going on here today.  We went for a very windy walk and then played outside for a while.  We visited grandma and grandpa too.  Brett is busy planting milo so we didn't get to see much of him today.  Today was day 3 with no bottles during the day!  It is still a huge battle to give up the bedtime bottle so we will work on that one later.

Faces

Tate is no dummy!  Brett pulled out the package of cookies after dinner and Tate got super excited and started to throw a fit when he didn't get one.  We caved this time but I think Brett's cookie eating will now need to be done when Tate is asleep.

I brought up a big pile of bedding from the basement to wash.  It made it as far as the living room.  Tate loved it!  He was rolling all over it.  So much fun!

We took lunch to Brett in the tractor today since he was busy planting milo.  Tate barely made it one round before he wanted down.
